A. |
Technology has grown to the point that the need
to keep expensive technicians on-site to manage your network is
a thing of the past. With our enhanced monitoring

without coming on-site except for rare mechanical failures.
We monitor your network 24x7 and make ongoing updates and
adjustments at a fraction of the cost of on-site service calls
or in-house staff. Software can be adjusted, loaded and
unloaded quickly and easily as well. |

|
|
Q. |
Why shouldn't I use
existing staff to perform IT support functions? |
|
A. |
In a word? Experience. Our experience with
existing staff trying to support IT without proper training
almost always costs you money as they fumble their way through
learning the job. The costs associated with the loss of
productivity caused by inexperienced staff tinkering can't be
underestimated! It never ceases to amaze us how many companies
entrust their business resources to staff whose only
qualification is that they know how to run one program.
Networks are too complicated and the financial risks of data
loss and lost productivity to entrust to untrained personnel.
Managed It gives you access to experienced network technicians
only when you need them. |
| |
|
|
Q |
Can't I just send them
out for training in a class or something? |
|
A. |
The cost of constant training is significant.
It's not a sometimes thing. Technology changes so
fast today that training and learning is a constant effort.
Again, in our experience, if you do train them to be network
engineers, you'll lose them as they use their newly attained
credentials looking for higher compensation. |
| |
|
|
Q. |
Isn't it cheaper for me
to hire my own in-house IT staff? |
|
A. |
Experienced IT personnel don't come cheap.
Check the salary surveys. A good experienced
network/server technician could cost you 30-50 times more than
what managed IT services for one year will cost. |
| |
|
|
Q. |
Do you cover PC's as
well as servers and network devices? |
|
A. |
Yes, under the main Managed IT Services plans we
monitor your PCs and track software usage and license. We
also keep an active inventory of all of your equipment. If
you want us to support users at the Desktop level remotely, see
our PC Workstation plans for the per PC charge for that service. |
| |
|
|
Q. |
What about our backup
system? Do you monitor that too? |
|
A |
Yes, we'll monitor and manage your backup system
but we take it a step farther. We also include a secure
and encrypted off-site backup storage feature to make sure that
a copy of your critical files are stored securely off-site.
Industry statistics show that tape backups are not taken off
site consistently, that less than 40% of data restorations from
tape are successful and less than 50% of businesses that suffer
catastrophic data loss are able to re-open for business.
We'll keep a copy of your critical business data in a secure
off-site server for your protection. |
| |
|
|
Q. |
What if I need an
on-site service call after all? |
|
A. |
Our Premium plan covers all on-site services for
your covered equipment. Our other plans provide for a
simple, low flat fee charge regardless of the time needed to
repair your hardware. The costs of replacement parts are
not covered although if your equipment is covered by a warranty,
we'll either get the vendor involved to honor the warranty. |
| |
|
|
Q. |
What if I already have
IT staff on the payroll? |
|
A. |
That's fine. If you want to keep them, we
can either redefine their responsibilities and work with them or
you can re-assign them to a function in your core business.
Perhaps, they're really good at training new employees on your
in-house software. |
